Acceptable Use Policy

Zlayo can clone voices, dub speech, invent text conversations and download video. Those are useful tools and easy ones to abuse. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything you upload, generate, download or share with Zlayo.

Don't use Zlayo to:

• upload, clip, dub, repost or download content you don't have the right to use, including other creators' videos, music, films, shows, streams or posts;
• pass off someone else's work as your own;
• remove or hide watermarks, credits or copyright notices from content that isn't yours in order to repost it;
• use someone's name, image, voice or likeness commercially, or in ways the law protects, without their permission;
• publish someone's private information, or recordings made without their consent where that is unlawful.

Don't use Zlayo to:

• make a real, identifiable person appear to say or do something they didn't, in a way that could mislead people or damage them;
• present an invented text conversation, story or dub as a genuine record, for example as evidence, as someone's real messages, or to accuse someone of something;
• impersonate a person, brand, organisation or official body;
• create fake reviews, fake endorsements, scams, or content designed to defraud or manipulate people, including around elections;
• get around a voice owner's refusal, or a platform's protections against impersonation.

Obvious parody, satire and fiction are fine when a reasonable viewer wouldn't take them as real, and aren't used to harm a real person.

Don't upload, create or share content that:

• sexualises minors in any way. This is never allowed, and we report it to the authorities;
• is sexual or intimate content of a real person made or shared without their consent;
• harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or encourages others to;
• attacks people for who they are, such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender or sexuality;
• promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or serious violence;
• encourages self-harm or suicide;
• defames someone, or is otherwise illegal where you are or where it will be seen.

Narration and many videos made with Zlayo are AI-generated. When you publish them, follow the rules of the platform you post to. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and others require you to label realistic AI-generated or altered content. Don't remove, crop out or cover the watermark Zlayo puts on Free-plan videos.

Don't:

• try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of the Service you aren't allowed to;
• probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission;
• overload the Service, or get around usage limits, rate limits or plan limits, including with scripts or multiple accounts;
• upload malware or anything designed to damage or disrupt systems;
• scrape, copy or resell the Service or its output as a service of your own without our permission;
• share, sell or rent your account.

Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove content, disable share links or features, suspend your account, or close it permanently. Where the law requires it, or where someone is at risk of serious harm, we may report it to the authorities and keep relevant data to do so. We can act without a warning in serious cases. Repeated breaches lead to closure.
